Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Beverage Service Expert to join our team at Fairmont Vancouver Airport. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to our guests.
- Daily set-up and general organization of the bar area, ensuring appropriate stock of glassware, drink ingredients, and supplies.
- Assist guests regarding all beverage menu items in an informative and helpful way.
- Mix drinks and control the beverage stock as per guidelines.
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions.
- Adhere to Company policies and Liquor Control Board specifications and Safety Regulations when serving alcohol to guests.
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
- In addition to tending the bar, table service of food and beverage may be required as business levels dictate.
- Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
Requirements
- Previous Food & Beverage service experience is an asset.
- Previous Point of Sale System experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
Physical Aspects of Position
- Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs.
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
Additional Information
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
