Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Driver to join our team at Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition and contents are secure.
  • Transportation of Goods: Transport products to customers safely and damage-free, adhering to all compliance requirements.
  • Load and Unload Shipments: Load and unload shipments of glass at customer job sites and/or shops, utilizing crane operation and/or manual lifting as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients on-site, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Damage Reporting: Report any concerns regarding damaged shipments to the transportation manager immediately, ensuring proper notation and/or signing of the Bill of Lading (BOL) upon delivery.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate forklift, Moffat forklift, and Hiab crane as needed, with training available for the right candidate.
Requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License: Possess a valid commercial driver's license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in commercial driving, with a focus on transportation and logistics.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
