Job Title: Ground Service Equipment Technician

Conair Aerial Firefighting is seeking a skilled Ground Service Equipment Technician to join our team in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Ground Service Equipment Technician to perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of ground support equipment used in the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections of ground support equipment to identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Perform pre-use checks to ensure equipment is in optimal condition for operational use.
  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
  • Document inspection results and provide detailed reports on the condition of the equipment.
Requirements:
  • Technical certification in equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Proven experience as a GSE Technician or in a similar role within the aviation industry.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with aviation ground support equipment and their maintenance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have mechanical experience (Red Seal).
  • Electrical experience is an asset.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
