Forklift Operator Job Description

JobCart Inc is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Cambridge. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move materials within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse
  • Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the forklift to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with other warehouse staff to meet production and delivery deadlines
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in forklift operation is mandatory
  • Forklift license is an asset
  • Experience in machine operation is an asset
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and ability to do paperwork
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Good judgment and common sense in decision-making
