We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Controller, Environment & Agri North America to join our team. As a key member of the Environmental Group, you will provide strategic financial insights to support revenue growth, cost optimization, and profitability.
The role involves monitoring key financial and operational metrics, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and work-in-progress (WIP) validation, and overseeing financial controls for capital expenditures, receivables, and payables. You will also engage cross-functional teams to enhance financial transparency and accountability.
This is a full-time hybrid role that involves working 2-3 days per week in our Mississauga office. As a member of the team, you will drive transformation initiatives through process improvements, training staff on internal control procedures, and implementing new technologies.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Provide financial modeling, forecasting, and budget planning to align business goals with financial strategy
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial reports, including monthly reporting packs, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure financial statements reflect operational performance and compliance
- Coordinate year-end audits and oversee audit preparations to ensure compliance with financial regulations
Requirements:
- Completed or currently pursuing CPA designation
- Strong applied understanding of financial principles, reporting standards, full-cycle accounting, and financial best practices
- Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends, and provide strategic insights
- Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector is considered an asset
