Arc'teryx Limited is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at our manufacturing facility in New Westminster. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in planning, designing, controlling, and improving manufacturing processes, materials, and workspace layouts to ensure timely, efficient, accurate, and cost-effective production with superb quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement workstation attachments, establish best layouts, and execute plans into bulk production.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions to improve quality and productivity in sewing operations.
  • Monitor and analyze current methods in production, employing time study methods to enhance productivity levels and optimize resource utilization.
  • Study new products for feasibility and influence their development using Design for Manufacturing (DFM) methodology.
  • Collaborate with Production Management to sustain and improve production KPIs through Continuous Improvement initiatives and process redesign implementations.
  • Design and execute experiments to Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Engineering change requests (ECR), and systemic production challenges, implementing solutions to achieve performance metrics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with an emphasis on industrial engineering, NPI, manufacturing process design, and tooling and fixture design.
  • 1+ years of experience working in an apparel or outdoor equipment manufacturing facility with sound knowledge of garment or equipment construction.
  • Experience collaborating in a highly cross-functional role and leading teams through execution.
  • Master of continuous improvement and recognized for facilitating change, with experience in 6S, LEAN manufacturing, machine automation, and project management.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment, embracing ambiguity and flexibility, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal with difficult situations with tact and professionalism.

A competitive salary range of CAD$80,000 - CAD$100,000 per year, with a bonus program and benefits package available.
