Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with 6+ years of experience in commercial litigation to join our team at GPAC.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly skilled team of attorneys and contribute to the success of our clients in commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters and collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for hearings and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts.
  • Experience taking business disputes to court, including contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, oppression, derivative proceedings, and property-related disputes.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to the Law Society of British Columbia.
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial litigation and a strong academic record, including excellent law school transcripts.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and experience working with big law firms is preferred.
