We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Saigon House Restaurant. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.
Work SettingOur restaurant is a fast-paced environment where you will work in a kitchen setting, preparing and cooking food for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift heavy loads
This role involves working in a kitchen environment, which can be physically demanding. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure.
