The Occupational Health Nurse plays a vital role in the provision of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) programs.

  • Communicable disease surveillance
  • Blood borne disease management
  • Absence management
  • Health assessments
  • Health surveillance
  • Health teaching and promotion
  • Immunization
  • Disability management
Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or equivalent
  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing – COHN(C)
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Occupational Health Nursing
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Strong assessment, health teaching, and promotion skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
