About the Job:
We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Manager) to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you'll be responsible for managing contractual aspects of projects, including Change Orders, contract negotiations, and risk management. If you have a strong background in construction, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of Project Coordinators
- Develop and implement strategies for profit enhancement
- Ensure contract compliance
- Oversee contract negotiations
- Provide expert guidance on contract clauses
Requirements:
- 8 or more years of direct work experience in a project role for a mid-size to large general contractor
- University Degree in an appropriate construction-related field, or equivalent
- Major project experience (Projects with a value of $1B or more)
- Knowledge of construction industry trends and regulations
- Proficiency in cost estimation, forecasting, scheduling, risk management and reporting
- Strong mentorship and coaching skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to achieve results as part of a team
- Frequent travel to local site and off-site locations as required
- High level of self-awareness, entrepreneurial mindset and established personal values
- A solid understanding of all construction trades, safety and construction techniques
