Role Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Guest Attendant to join our team at Aspira Carolina Retirement Living. As a Guest Attendant, you will play a critical role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing exceptional care and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to resident call bells and door alarms, providing courteous service and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Deliver resident care as outlined in their plan of care and care assignments, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
  • Transport residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office, and dining room as required, promoting their independence and mobility.
  • Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents.
  • Interact with residents, their families, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner, addressing concerns and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service, upholding our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role, demonstrating your ability to provide exceptional care and support.
  • Current First Aid/CPR training, ensuring you are equipped to respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions.
  • Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills, enabling you to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check, upholding our commitment to resident safety and well-being.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to resident care.
