We are seeking a highly skilled Trust Services Expert to join our team at National Bank. As a key member of our Fiduciary Services team, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support to meet their needs.
- Analyze complex legal documents, including wills and trusts, to provide recommendations to our Director of Fiduciary Services.
- Conduct regulatory monitoring of estates, trusts, and mandates to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Perform legal research and communicate with external experts as required to provide expert advice to our clients.
- Act as administrator for managed companies, handling matters related to estates, trusts, and protection mandates.
- Be accountable for the quality processing of files under your responsibility, regularly communicating progress to internal partners, clients, and external experts.
- Support file closures and orchestrate legal activities related to files to ensure proactive management and meet deadlines.
- Registration with the Order of the Chambre des notaires du Québec or the Barreau du Québec.
- Customer service experience.
- Significant experience in a consulting role.
- Experience in the liquidation of estates or administration of trusts.
- Knowledge of investment or financial planning is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills, priority management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to resolve complex and ambiguous challenges and situations in a practical manner.
- Excellent communication and ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Ability to create strong professional relationships (internal and external).
- Ability to quickly generate interest and trust.
- Quality of listening necessary for a good understanding of client's sensitive issues.
- Ease of teamwork.
English and French are the primary languages required for this role. You will need to discuss frequently with our service providers or partners who speak a language other than French.
