Bombardier's Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is a flagship operation within the company's European network. The service centre boasts an impressive array of maintenance capabilities, including checks, modifications, and upgrades, all conducted from this single site.

Responsibilities:
  1. Technical expertise is required to resolve structural and system installation issues on the production line.
  2. A key aspect of this role involves effective management of design activities by collaborating closely with engineering departments, internal and external customers, quality assurance, methods, and procurement teams.
  3. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining technical knowledge and awareness of developments related to airframe structures.
  4. Closely interface with stress, systems, manufacturing, and test groups to ensure seamless collaboration.
  5. Prepare structural and systems layouts, interface drawings, installations, assembly, and detail drawings.
  6. Support design and program reviews with partner/suppliers.
  7. Status projects for functional management.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in primary and secondary structural design for airframes, including systems installations.
  3. Strong understanding of airframe configuration, stress analysis, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  4. Proficiency in CATIA V4/V5 software is essential.
  5. Familiarity with civil aircraft certification rules and procedures is required.
  6. Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary for success in this role.
  7. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $120,000 per annum, reflecting the responsibilities and requirements outlined above.
