Job Summary

We are seeking a Relief Support Assistant to join our Autism Program team at School District #91 (Nechako Lakes). This is a relief position that will provide support to teachers and other professionals in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers and other professionals in the classroom to support students with Autism.
  • Provide individualized support to students with Autism to help them access the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with Autism.
  • Provide behavioral support to students with Autism to help them manage their behavior and access the curriculum.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with students with Autism or other developmental disabilities an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
