About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead our team of software engineers in delivering cutting-edge solutions for our Guidewire Claims Center.

As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of technical assets, overseeing design and execution, and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Asset Owner: Manage a portfolio of technical assets, collaborating with vendors, compliance partners, technical teams, and stakeholders to mitigate risk and remediate findings.
  • Delivery: Oversee the project lifecycle for Claims initiatives, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features and enhancements.
  • Technical Strategy and Design: Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define and implement a technical roadmap for a set of pods.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage and mentor a team of software engineers, setting performance goals, conducting reviews, and providing ongoing coaching.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to establish robust testing protocols, ensuring system reliability, performance, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for a set of initiatives, providing updates to stakeholders and managing expectations.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of experience working with Guidewire Claims Center, including experience in system architecture, configuration, and integration.
  • Proven experience as an engineering manager or team lead, with strong skills in coaching, performance management, and team development.
  • Strong understanding of the Guidewire platform, including Guidewire Studio, and development using Gosu, Java, or similar programming languages.
  • Familiarity with integration methods (APIs, web services) and data migration in Guidewire.
  • Experience delivering solutions in an agile environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $108,800 - $163,200 CAD per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
