The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Fullstack Software Developer to lead our technical team in Calgary. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for shaping the architecture and direction of our services, mentoring others, and driving technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Shape the future of our system design through technical planning and collaboration
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and bring new ideas to strategic and technical planning initiatives
  • Lead others by example and expand their knowledge through mentorship and pair programming
  • Create and review proposals for new technologies and implementations
  • Understand and lead the solutioning of complex technical problems
Requirements

We're looking for a seasoned developer with at least 9 years of experience in fullstack development, including back-end development, data, APIs, queues, security, scalable systems, and business logic. You should have expertise in programming principles, one or two programming languages, and a keen interest in expanding your skills to encompass new languages and technologies.

Additionally, you should have experience with technical planning, cloud infrastructure, devops, CI/CD, containerized services, serverless systems, and networking. Familiarity with different types of data stores and databases is also a must.
