Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician

About the Role:

Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. As a Fire Alarm Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of system reliability and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform verifications on fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Complete fire alarm system programming and testing to ensure systems are operating as intended.
  • Complete work orders and report in a timely fashion to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Be available for emergency service calls and respond promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Act as liaison between customer and Troy to ensure effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Understand and practice applicable ULC, CSA, and Canadian Electrical codes and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong PMA/ITM skills to ensure efficient system maintenance and repair.

Qualifications:

  • CFAA Certification is required.
  • Two years of community college in electronics is desired, or equivalent training or work experience will be an asset.
  • Previous training or experience in fire alarm systems (2+ years) is required.
  • Proficient in the use of computers and software related to fire alarm systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and organizational skills are essential.
