Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nursing Leader to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As an Assistant Head Nurse, you will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff assignments and patient flow management
  • Leadership role in promoting quality patient care and implementing operational priorities
  • Providing frontline nursing care as required
  • Acting as a role model, clinical resource, and advocate for nursing staff
  • Collaborating with interprofessional teams, administrators, and policy makers to provide solutions for complex healthcare issues
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
