Pizza Garden Shift Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Pizza Garden. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service establishment, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish Methods to Meet Work Schedules: Develop and implement efficient scheduling systems to ensure that our staff are adequately staffed to meet the demands of our customers.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities of Staff: Lead and motivate our team members to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Train Staff in Job Duties, Sanitation, and Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training to our staff on their job duties, as well as sanitation and safety procedures to ensure that they are equipped to provide exceptional service.
  • Estimate Ingredient and Supplies Required for Meal Preparation: Accurately estimate the ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation to ensure that we have sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
  • Hire Food Service Staff: Recruit and hire qualified food service staff to join our team.
  • Ensure that Food and Service Meet Quality Control Standards: Monitor and maintain high standards of food quality and customer service to ensure that our customers receive an exceptional experience.
  • Prepare Budget and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates to ensure that our operations are financially sustainable.
  • Address Customers' Complaints or Concerns: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints or concerns to ensure that we maintain a positive reputation.
  • Maintain Records of Stock, Repairs, Sales, and Wastage: Accurately record and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform our operations and make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare and Submit Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports to management to ensure that they are informed of our operations and any areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment.
  • Work Site Environment: Noisy and hot working conditions.
  • Work Setting: Food service establishment.
  • Tasks: Establish methods to meet work schedules, supervise and coordinate activities of staff, train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, hire food service staff, ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, prepare budget and cost estimates, address customers' complaints or concerns, maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, prepare and submit reports.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player.
