Job Title: Senior Data Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Specialist to join our Finance Data Governance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data management strategies across Finance and other cross-functional areas, with a focus on procurement. You will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to support data quality, metadata management, data cleansing, and data access capabilities within Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine data governance frameworks and policies tailored to finance and procurement functions.
  • Take ownership and ensure successful execution of the organization's data quality goals independently and as part of a team.
  • Manage the profiling and analysis of data quality issues within specified data domains and business functions.
  • Work closely with data owners and governance pods to identify critical data quality problems and devise effective solutions.
  • Prioritize and assign remediation tasks based on business impact and data quality assessments.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in finance and especially procurement functions.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in data governance or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data quality tools, data management processes, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in leading data governance initiatives and mentoring teams in complex organizational settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Deep experience in finance and procurement data management.
  • Experience with E-Procurement - ERP in Data Management.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and standards affecting data privacy and governance.
