We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Oncology team at Sinai Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to individuals undergoing post-surgical interventions for various types of cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and progress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote informed decision-making and self-care
- Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Graduate of a CNO-approved bachelor's degree in nursing program, or equivalent combined education and experience
- Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), specialty certificate in oncology, and 1 year recent adult medical surgical nursing experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge base in pain management, symptom control, and wound care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
