About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager, Engineering to join our team at Sofina Foods. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading efforts to drive continuous improvement within our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage various capital projects from concept through to commissioning, including budget preparation, cost tracking, and vendor negotiations.
- Assess and prioritize process/project opportunities and manage them from beginning to completion.
- Improve the overall operating efficiency of our plants through technological improvements and process optimization.
- Provide technical support and guidance in troubleshooting plant equipment and services.
- Represent the company in dealings with government agencies pertaining to permitting and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Assist Plant Managers in fostering a continuous improvement culture in our manufacturing facilities.
Requirements
- Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering/technical experience in a manufacturing environment, with 8 years in a leadership role.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing capital projects.
- Experience in food manufacturing is required, meat manufacturing preferred.
- Experience with ammonia plant operations.
- P.Eng. designation required or in progress.
- Travel is required.
