We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Procurement Specialist to join our team at EBC Inc. in the Don Valley Crossing bridge project office. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment needs are met, including planning and coordinating the movement of heavy equipment on site.
Responsibilities:- Taking care of external rentals of heavy equipment and small tools from suppliers, their rates, and complete invoicing;
- Meet site requirements for equipment either by purchase, rental, or internal transfer;
- Optimize equipment utilization and ensure profitability;
- Monitor equipment usage reports and optimize with the site;
- Update on a weekly basis the Location of equipment and required equipment;
- Participate in start-of-shift and planning meetings;
- Develop annual equipment budgets for the contract;
- Negotiate rental agreements for light trucks and small tools, if required;
- Perform comparative technical analyses of equipment for decision-making purposes;
- Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities on equipment belonging to the joint venture;
- Purchase requisitions for parts and materials required for maintenance and repair of JV-owned equipment;
- Experience with heavy construction equipment;
- Must be fluent both written and spoken English (French an asset);
- Must be available for a 5-day civil engineering work schedule on the Don Valley Crossing bridge project.
