Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at New Light Physiotherapy Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer evaluative tests and procedures to assess patients' physical abilities and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Assist physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals with patient care, including setting up and dismantling equipment, maintaining inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products, and recording test results and medications given.
  • Develop and implement treatment programs to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
  • Confer with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and maintain accurate clinical and progress reports.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling and confirming appointments, ordering supplies and equipment, and maintaining prescription records.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
