Job Summary:

Procor Limited is seeking a reliable and skilled Rail Car Repair Technician to join our team at our repair facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing car repairs, including cutting and welding on the rail body, tank and/or hopper, and other car components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform car repairs involving cutting and welding on the rail body, tank and/or hopper, and other car components
  • Operate telehandler forklift and other equipment as required
  • Read, comprehend, and follow repair orders, procedures, and blueprints
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Adhere to health and safety standards, including the Responsible Care Policy
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to get to and from work
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong mechanical background with competent and safe use of hand tools and power equipment
  • Prior railcar repair experience or similar, and knowledge of AAR standards an asset
  • Ability to work in an environment with continuous exposure to outdoor weather conditions with dust, fumes, and noise
  • Ability to climb, stoop, and bend repeatedly, carry hand and power tools
