Job Title: High-Tech CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC machinist to join our team at KPS MACHINE & TOOL LTD.

About the Job:

This is a permanent position that requires the candidate to work 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting production machinery, fitting and assembling components, maintaining and repairing precision measuring instruments, and documenting any deviations from specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Set up and adjust production machinery/tools
  • Fitting and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
  • Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances
  • Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years of experience as a CNC machinist
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • A strong understanding of computer numerical control (CNC) machines and computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
