Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team at Colas Western Canada Inc. in Crescent Valley, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment to load material from stockpiles to appropriate piles and trucks.
  • Ensure safe and quality-minded operation of the wash plant.
  • Conduct daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
  • Perform pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate, and refill as necessary.
  • Keep facilities clean and tidy.
  • Maneuver heavy equipment into loading and unloading positions.
  • Participate in and adhere to the company safety program.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively with team members in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with clean driver's abstract.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • First Aid & WHMIS certificates are considered an asset.
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
Working Conditions

This is a seasonal full-time position (April-November) with overtime, weekends, and varied schedules as business needs dictate.
