At the College of New Caledonia, we are seeking a highly skilled Network Analyst I to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to take part in the evaluation, planning, implementation, configuration, management, maintenance, and support of infrastructure systems.

About the Role

The Network Analyst I will report to the Chief Information Officer and work closely with the ITS Service Desk team. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with network installations, updates, testing, debugging, performance tuning, security, backups, and monitoring while following best practices and minimizing downtime.
  • Commissioning and decommissioning network equipment.
  • Installing, terminating, and testing copper network cabling.
  • Proposing changes to firewall rules based on user requests/issues.
  • Assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network server hardware and software.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A recognized two (2) year diploma in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one-year current experience working with network-based applications and services, network systems, communication technologies, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Experience in post-secondary education or the public sector is preferred.
  • Understanding of the operations of copper, fiber, and wireless networks.
