Job Title: Early Childhood Educator - Child Development Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Starting Line Childcare Centre. As a Child Development Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist co-workers in housekeeping and cooking duties
  • Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote child development
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and crafting
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children

Requirements:

  • Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification
  • Punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Reliability and honesty

Working Conditions:

  • 40 hours per week
  • Permanent position
  • English language
