About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker, Building to join our team at 518157 Alberta Ltd. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our commercial building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Maintenance
    • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
    • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Facilities Management
    • Advertise vacancy for maintenance positions.
    • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
    • Perform minor repairs on appliances.
  • Health and Safety
    • Perform safety and security checks.
    • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Grounds Maintenance
    • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced commercial building environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of quality.

Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility.
    • Organized.
    • Reliability.
Language and Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 35-hour workweek. The primary language of work is English.
