About the Role

Cindy's Your Independent Grocer # 1830 is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account their specific needs and requirements.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take steps to address any issues that may arise.
  • Inventory Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and organize buffets and banquets to ensure that they are presented to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Setting: Relocation costs covered by employer.

Cindy's Your Independent Grocer # 1830 is a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment. As a Culinary Specialist, you will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet the demands of our kitchen.
