Gameplay Animator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Gameplay Animator to join our team at IFG - International Financial Group.

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality animation assets that meet or exceed the animation quality bar for our projects.

You will also be expected to provide support for pre-visualization animation when needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Produce high-quality animation assets that adhere to technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Technical Animators, and Rigging Directors to define and refine animation tools and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Designers and Technical Animators to prove out gameplay and design locomotion sets.
  • Develop pre-visualization animation.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Gameplay Animation team.
  • Help teams with gameplay animation problem-solving through continuous feedback and education.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience creating high-quality in-game animation assets, preferably on a highly-rated Shooter or Action title.
  • Experience with keyframe and motion capture animation.
  • Technical understanding of animation tools, pipelines, and technical systems.
  • Experience working with locomotion trees and state-flow animation systems.
  • Experience using MotionBuilder and 3D applications such as Maya, Max, or Softimage.
  • Self-motivated, creative problem solver, team builder, and subject matter expert.
  • Rigging experience is a plus.
Location:

Hybrid (Vancouver, BC)

Salary Range:

The salary for this position is between CAD $116,000 annually. Factors that may affect pay include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
