Occupational Therapist

Providence Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our interdisciplinary Allied Health team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care and promoting independence in daily activities.
About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to work in our acute and long-term care settings. The successful candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote patient recovery and independence.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans to address patient needs
- Provide occupational therapy interventions to promote patient independence and mobility
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
- Supervise and mentor students and new staff members
- Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
