Job Summary


The University Health Network (UHN) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Services Manager to join its team. As an integral member of the Support Services Team, this leader will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the service
  • Maintaining quality standards through audits and feedback to staff
  • Supporting a collaborative working environment, using innovative ideas and concepts to provide leadership in effecting change and improving service quality within the framework of the UHN Quality Program
  • Supervising and developing human resources, including assigning duties and responsibilities
  • Managing finances and equipment effectively

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in housekeeping or environmental services management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience with quality improvement programs and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and technical knowledge of housekeeping and linen equipment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, including OH&S and Ministry of Labour regulations
