About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Internal Audit function and drive the development of a robust risk management framework. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of our strategic plan and overseeing the execution of our professional practice of assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for Internal Audit, ensuring alignment with our organization's vision, mission, and values.
  • Lead the execution of our professional practice of assurance, including the development and implementation of assurance methodologies and quality assurance improvement programs.
  • Collaborate with our Chief Audit Executive to ensure the department adheres to Internal Auditing standards and incorporates relevant leading practices.
  • Develop and implement a department approach to agile assurance, enabling the team to respond to emerging risks and deliver timely insights.
  • Curate and deliver training to the team, enhancing their technical, professional, and soft skills, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science, with a Master's degree or doctorate preferred.
  • Completion of applicable designations, such as CIA, CPA, or CISA, with other designations like CFA, PRM, and/or FRM desirable.
  • Minimum of 12 years of work experience in the financial services industry, with a history of successfully navigating the complexities associated with audit or risk management.
  • Deep and broad knowledge of financial markets, financial concepts, investment strategies, and investment products, including derivatives, and their underlying risk drivers.
  • Adept at building relationships with key stakeholders and influencing, negotiating, and developing consensus to drive change.
  • Good working knowledge of regulatory expectations and industry best practices in risk governance and related areas.
  • Experience with Governance, Risk & Compliance technology tools and analytical tools.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to our core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity, and collaboration, and inspires the same in others.
