Job Title: Front-End Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer to join our Driver & Vehicle group. As a key member of our Secure Image Management Systems (SIMS) DevOps Product Team, you will play a crucial role in developing a user-friendly front-end for our new cloud-based SIMS application.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop responsive and interactive web applications
* Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional code
* Optimize website performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility
* Implement and maintain content management systems
* Debug and troubleshoot front-end issues
* Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code adhering to best practices
* Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
* Conduct testing and validation of web forms and interactive elements
* Stay updated with the latest front-end technologies and industry trends

Qualifications and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
* Knowledge of web performance optimization, UI/UX principles, responsive design principles, composable web UIs, asynchronous programming, DevOps and CI/CD practices, Agile development practices, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
* 2+ years of web front-end development experience

Technologies and Tools:

* Languages: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and Typescript
* Frameworks: Angular, React, or Vaadin
* Web technologies: REST, AJAX and JSON
* Interfaces: RESTful APIs
* Test Automation Tools: Selenium, JUnit, Playwright or Cypress
