Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Georama Growers. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, providing updates on delivery status and any issues encountered during transport.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption to maintain accurate records and optimize routes.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and any other required certifications for the role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and a minimum of permanent employment.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing demands.
