Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Janitorial Assistant at Uptown Montessori School Inc. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Housekeeping: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, handle and report lost and found items, attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, and provide basic information on facilities.
  • Trash and Recycling: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Special Tasks: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position working 32.5 hours per week. The work environment is a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent bending and crouching. The work language is English.

Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a school setting and interact with students, staff, and guests.
