We are seeking an exceptional Technical Interface Designer to join our team at Electronic Arts, a global leader in the game industry. As a Technical Interface Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating immersive gaming experiences by designing and implementing high-quality visual animations and interfaces.



About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your creativity and technical expertise in game development. You will work closely with our art and design teams to bring engaging and authentic game experiences to life. Our ideal candidate has a strong foundation in computer science, programming languages, and experience working with game engines such as Unreal.



Key Responsibilities


  • Recreate brand assets into the game in authentic advertising animations
  • Develop authentic broadcast overlays and in-game overlays to match brand standards of partners
  • Maintain best practices in code and art development
  • Create UI animations and effects using proprietary game engine
  • Apply proper art optimization techniques in art assets
  • Identify and debug art and animation related issues
  • Design motion demos for game front-end and HUD integration
  • Collaborate with live content and art teams to explain both art needs and tech constraints
  • Leverage legacy tech (Flash-based animations via ActionScript and timeline) to support animations and UI work


Requirements


  • Technical skills and ability to quickly learn new production tools and workflows
  • Adept or able to quickly learn various Object-Oriented programming languages and scripts (e.g., Javascript, C++)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages like Python
  • Proficiency with Adobe Flash/Animate, Photoshop, and other graphics and animation applications
  • At least 1 year of experience creating 3D motion graphics or interfaces with game engines like Unreal
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and revision version control software (Perforce knowledge ideal)
  • Degree in a relevant visual art or technical subject (BSc Computer Science or Game Programming, Game Art and Design Diploma highly desired)
