We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at COBS Bread The Quarry. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of bread products, including artisan breads, rolls, and pastries.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.
- Customer Service: Prepare special orders and ensure that customer needs are met.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a baking or food service environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, handling heavy loads, manual dexterity, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, dependability, excellent oral communication, judgement, reliability, and team player.

- Work Environment: 30 to 40 hours per week, permanent position, and work language: English.
