Job Summary

The Material Handling Specialist will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, ensuring safe working conditions, and meeting production targets. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including loaders and rock trucks, to ensure efficient material handling and meet production targets.
  • Conduct daily inspections of equipment and report any issues or deficiencies to maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and report any near misses or incidents to management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve operational goals and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
  • Candidates should have Canadian secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant industrial plant operation experience.
  • Heavy equipment operation experience is an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and excellent communication skills are required.
  • Candidates must possess specific mobile equipment training and surface miner training.
