As we continue to grow and evolve, we are seeking a highly motivated Heavy Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to build a long-term career in a dynamic and challenging environment.
**The Role**
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician or Heavy Duty Mechanic with a strong background in Off-Road Equipment maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have a Red Seal Journeyperson certificate and at least five years of experience in a Heavy-Duty Mechanical shop environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
The successful candidate will assist our supervisor with equipment repair and maintenance, including preventative maintenance and major repair work. They will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining off-road equipment, troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment failures, and making recommendations on repair options.
Additionally, the candidate will operate milling machines and other tools and equipment as necessary, comprehend equipment manuals, diagrams, and schematic drawings, and maintain accurate documentation and maintenance records.

**Requirements**
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess superior knowledge of Heavy-Duty parts and components, proven mechanical and diagnostic skills, and the ability to set up and operate all machines common to the trade.
They must also have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, be a results-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills, and be able to actively listen and use creativity to solve problems.
**Preferred Qualifications**
Prior experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical maintenance, and scrap metal handling equipment is an asset. Some welding experience is also considered desirable.
