Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the use of shared resources with other departments and locations to achieve company business plans and objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by building and maintaining effective communication with carriers, vendors, and internal customers.
  • Perform preventative, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance for trucks, trailers, and docks, including repairs and documentation.
  • Monitor and document fluid levels, temperatures, and seal integrity, and maintain cleanliness of evaporators and trailers.
  • Perform daily and as-needed fuel island maintenance and upkeep.
  • Accurately account for all equipment, temperatures, and seal integrity.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; college coursework or continuing technical education preferred.
  • Past experience as a yard jockey or truck driver preferred.
  • Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems (TMS) preferred.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) Hours of Service.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read small print on packaging and paperwork, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer.

At BJ's Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is starting from $22.00.
