About the Position:

The Business Development Bank of Canada is seeking a seasoned Senior Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting entrepreneurs in the Calgary area with tailored Financing and Advisory solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include focusing on businesses with sales between $3M to $50M, working closely with owners to understand their needs, and collaborating with internal partners to deliver solutions that enable entrepreneurs to enhance and expand their businesses.

You will also have opportunities to build relationships with local business professionals and the broader business community, fostering connections that lead to new opportunities and driving the growth of our portfolio.

Key Challenges:

  • Focusing on business development and identifying opportunities and challenges for clients
  • Developing relationships with local business professionals and the broader business community
  • Collaborating with internal partners to deliver solutions and meet objectives
  • Showcasing analytical and negotiation skills when creating and presenting financing proposals

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration
  • Relevant client-facing experience in commercial banking
  • Demonstrated ability in business development, showcasing a systematic and disciplined approach
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
