SA Technologies offers a competitive salary for this role, estimated to be around $120,000 per year in Montreal, QC.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Build Architect to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will design and implement software builds and deployments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Build Design and Implementation: Develop and maintain efficient build processes for our cloud-based applications.
  • Deployment Management: Ensure seamless deployment of software releases, focusing on automation and scalability.
  • Blueprint Development: Design and test blueprints for cloud deployments, guaranteeing optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Collaborate with developers to resolve application issues in cloud environments, prioritizing timely resolution.
  • Process Optimization: Investigate tools and technologies to enhance build and release management efficiency.
  • Scripting and Automation: Write programs and scripts to package and deliver products as needed.
  • Server Administration: Manage and administer servers used by the development infrastructure team.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in regular team meetings, discussing productivity, process, workflow, and quality-related topics.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software industry field, including systems, build, and release management.
  • Proven experience in software build, packaging, and deployment.
  • Knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle and understanding of multi-tier application architecture.
  • Deep experience with scripting languages (Python/Jython, Perl, Groovy) and familiarity with PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with version control software (SVN, Subversion, GIT, ClearCase, RTC, Accurev).
  • Experience with Java build tools: Maven, Nexus, and Jenkins.
  • Knowledge of OS, middleware, and network technologies.
  • Experience in Linux environments and systems administration as well as Windows Servers.
  • Understanding of cloud and virtualization solutions and experience with cloud systems.
Preferred Skills

Candidates should possess strong skills in Maven, Java, Jboss, SCM (GIT), scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python), and Jenkins/Nexus. Fluency in French is also required.
