We are seeking a skilled Care Team Assistant to join our collaborative care team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our team, you will provide direct, hands-on care to patients based on their needs and program/unit requirements.
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will work under the supervision or direction of regulated health professionals to support patients' activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. You will also reinforce patient and family teaching according to established guidelines and the plan of care.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Continuing Care Assistant Program certification with the Department of Health and Wellness
- Provincial Certification with the CCA Registry
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
As a Care Team Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Hours and CompensationThis is a permanent full-time position with 75 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $25.70.
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
