Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join the Radiology/Ultrasound team at Sechelt Hospital in Sechelt, BC.

About the Role
  • Perform abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular and small parts ultrasound examinations, adhering to patient safety protocols.
  • Support the team by receiving requisitions, entering data into the diagnostic imaging information system, preparing patients for procedures, and conducting examinations using ultrasound and Doppler techniques.
  • Participate in committees and research projects as assigned.

About You

We are looking for a qualified candidate with a recognized training program in Medical Diagnostic Sonography and certification from Sonography Canada or the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).

Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sonography procedures, including abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, and small parts.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform sonographic examinations in compliance with departmental standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency in a client care information system.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
