Job Summary

We are seeking two experienced professionals to join our team as Early Learning and Child Care Consultants in Saskatoon. As a key member of our Child Care Operations team, you will play a vital role in advancing the Canada-Saskatchewan Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Agreement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, license, and monitor child care services to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide support to parents and caregivers, assisting them in meeting their child care needs.
  • Collaborate with community groups and individuals to develop and implement child care solutions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely information about early childhood care and education is available to the public.
  • Enforce The Child Care Act and The Child Care Regulations, promoting a safe and healthy environment for children.
Requirements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and mediation skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and find mutually beneficial solutions.
  • Ability to identify needs and issues, and develop effective strategies to address them.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Typically acquired through experience as a Director of a child care centre, formal education in early childhood care, child development, and education programming, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
