Plumber - Installation and Repair Specialist

At WD Sheetmetal Ltd., we are seeking a skilled Plumber - Installation and Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our plumbing department, you will be responsible for installing and repairing domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of our clients' facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, with experience in reading blueprints, determining piping system requirements, and estimating costs and materials. You will also be responsible for testing pipes for leaks, measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required shape and size.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Repair domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required shape and size
