About Our Clinic and Work Environment

We are a privately owned, single veterinarian practice that specializes in canine, feline, and equine medicine. Our practice focuses on wellness and preventative medicine, offering a range of services including:

  • Surgery & Anesthesia
  • X-ray and Ultrasound
  • Dental Suite
  • Laser Therapy
  • In-house blood and urine analysis
  • Nutrition consultation
  • After-hours emergency services and hospitalization
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine physical examination and vaccination of cats and dogs
  • Perform canine and feline castration and ovariohysterectomy
  • Communicate with clients and establish a vet-client relationship, including collection of thorough history, explanation of diagnostic and treatment plan options, answering of client questions, and follow-up communication after the plan is in place.
  • Collect and analyze blood, urine, and fecal samples
  • Collect and analyze diagnostic imaging, including radiographs and ultrasound to diagnose diseases or conditions.
  • Collect and analyze samples for microscopic evaluation
  • Manage chronic disease (i.e., diabetes, heart disease, atopy/allergies)
  • Perform interventional surgery (i.e., enterotomies, gastrotomies, splenectomy, cystotomies, mass removals, and laceration repairs)
  • Maintain professionalism in the workplace, including conduct with co-workers as well as client interaction
  • Complete Continuing Education requirements as laid out by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario
  • Conduct oneself in a manner which is consistent with the professional conduct standards laid out by the College of Veterinarians of Ontario.
Requirements
  • University degree in veterinary medicine (as well as any required pre-veterinary studies for the university program, if applicable)
  • Completion of national certification examinations or equivalent is required
  • Provincial Licensing from the College of Veterinarians of Ontario is required or ability to obtain
  • Maintain good standing with the CVO for the duration of employment once fully licensed
  • Ability to work on-call shifts
  • Eligible if holding a restricted or full license to practice veterinary medicine per the College of Veterinarians on Ontario (CVO)
